Whether diced, sliced or en bloc - always marked correctly

As long as the milk is in the cow, there is no doubt about its shelf life and origin.

Not all cheese: In their 15th video, the professionals from REA Elektronik show "Marking in the food industry with NiceLabel connectivity"

Mühltal, June 15, 2022 - As long as the milk is in the cow, there is no doubt about its shelf life and origin. But when it leaves the cow and then the farm and is processed and packaged into different types of cheese elsewhere, important information has to be applied legibly to the individual packaging and entire pallets. The 15th video in the series "Marking Professionals from REA Elektronik" shows exactly how. The film entitled "Marking in the food industry with NiceLabel connection" has been online since today.

Not everything in the latest video from the marking professionals is cheese - even if that is the main focus at Heinrichstaler Milchwerke GmbH in Radeberg. The process from the origin of the main ingredient to the finished product is highly professional. To follow it, Daniel Wege (Business Development Manager at REA Elektronik) and his colleague Frank Debusmann (Sales Director national coding and marking systems) first visit the cows on a farm in the Rhön, where the milk comes from, among other things. From there, they make their way to Radeberg and through the factory. Clemens Richter, Technical Manager, explains to them how, from raw milk to curd and whey to ripening, the common varieties of Gouda, Emmental, Tilsiter and Co. as well as extravagant cheese specialties are produced and packaged in one piece, slices or cubes.

Marking with direct printing and labels

To ensure that each product has the correct information and the correct best before date, the dairy plants used to stick labels on each individual pack by hand years ago. Today, this is done by 14 systems that use direct printing to apply a barcode for external identification and a 2D-Matrixcode for internal logistics. They obtain the data for this from the Loftware-NiceLabel software, ensuring not only identical-looking marking for all products, but also smooth product changes. The labels, which are applied to the front and longitudinal sites of the pallets ready for dispatch at the end of production, are produced in the same way. Watch the video to find out why Heinrichstaler Milchwerke opted for REA JET and REA LABEL systems and which ones exactly.

The REA Marking Professionals remain curious - and so another "Marking Professionals on Site" video will go online on the REA website on July 15. Anyone who knows the series or is professionally involved in industrial coding and marking can already puzzle over where Wege and Debusmann will end up.
