The REA Check ER is a universal, battery-operated barcode verification system manufactured in Germany in compliance with international standards (ISO/IEC 15426-1). It stands out with its very compact design and handy construction, making it an ideal companion for mobile barcode quality control.
The device offers numerous unique selling points: It is portable and wireless thanks to the built-in rechargeable battery and has a large color display as well as memory space for up to 1000 measurements. In addition, it enables reliable PC communication via network, including DHCP capability to the optionally available REA TransWin32 software.
Designed with no moving parts, the REA Check ER offers durability and robustness. A central element of the inspection results are the final statements "Passed" or "Failed", which allow a more detailed analysis with additional detailed information.
The REA Check ER offers comprehensive performance functions for the inspection analysis of codes according to the specifications of ISO/IEC 15416 or ANSI X3.182. The flexible customization options make the system ideal for incoming goods inspections or printing process controls. Optional inspection parameters, based on the requirements of the respective application, adapt the inspection precisely.
Users can specify the desired minimum quality and save all settings as profiles. These profiles can be both exported and imported, ensuring consistent use of the settings on multiple devices.
An outstanding feature is the possibility of multiple measurements with averaging, which consists of 2 to 10 individual measurements to ensure more precise results. There is also automatic differentiation between the most important barcode symbologies. The code sizes and check digits are checked on the basis of the standards and user specifications.
The REA Check ER also verifies the bright fields on both sides of the code and has a ratio check for two-bar width codes such as Code 39 or 2/5i. The requirements of the GS1 General Specifications and the GS1 data structures are also included in the inspection.
Colored LEDs are integrated for a fast and clear result and operating status display. Operator guidance and test reports are available in several languages, which facilitates use in international environments. Simple software updates can be carried out via USB stick or a network connection without the need to install drivers for PC operation.

ISO standardization defines a clear structure of the data contained in the various matrix and barcodes. REA ScanLink knows this structure and performs a detailed analysis of the data structure.
Information is provided on the origin of the code and the data fields it contains (e.g. article number, dates, batches, etc.). If the data does not comply with the structure specifications, this is highlighted and an error message is displayed.

The REA TransWin 32 software enables the centralized recording, evaluation and archiving of single and multiple code verifications on a standard PC. REA VERIFIER can be fully configured and remotely controlled via TransWin. The software can be installed and used on any number of computers with one license.
