The REA VeriCube IR offers maximum flexibility thanks to its combination of red light illumination at 660 nm and optional infrared illumination at 855 nm or 945 nm. The additional 16 IR LEDs make it possible to excite the inks to fluoresce in the IR range, enabling accurate reflection measurement as with normal surface reflections.

- Flexible application options: The REA VeriCube IR can be used in three different positions: sideways, upright facing upwards or upright facing downwards. This flexibility ensures that the system can be optimally adapted to the respective measuring task.
- Standard-compliant inspection: The system verifies codes in accordance with ISO/IEC 15415, the standard for printed matrix codes, as well as ISO/IEC TR 29158 (derived from the AIM DPM2006 guideline) for directly marked matrix codes. It also verifies according to the general GS1 specification and evaluates GS1 data structures, which is particularly important for the requirements of serialization in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Data structure analysis: The REA VeriCube IR also analyzes data structures in accordance with ISO/IEC 15418 / ANS MH10.8.2.
