CAB Hermes Q2

The CAB Hermes Q2 print and apply system is an advanced print and apply system that has been especially developed for automatic printing and labeling in production lines. Due to its compact design, it is particularly suitable for small labels, which has earned it the nickname "the narrow one".

High-performance printing capabilities

The Hermes Q2 offers impressive print resolutions and speeds that make it flexible to use. With a print resolution of 300 dpi, it can print at a speed of 300 mm/s. For finer resolution printing requirements, the Hermes Q2 can also be operated with a print resolution of 600 dpi , with a print speed of up to 150 mm/s. The maximum print width is up to 56.9 mm at 300 dpi and 54.1 mm at 600 dpi.

Efficient label processing

The label rolls of the Hermes Q2 can be supplied with label unwinders for roll diameters of up to 205 mm or 305 mm. This enables a flexible label width of up to 58 mm. The built-in tension system ensures that the backing material remains clamped between the tension roller and the pressure roller. Together with the pressure roller, the labels are transported synchronously and dispensed precisely.

Flexible installation positions and dispensing directions

One of the outstanding features of the Hermes Q2 is its flexibility in terms of installation position. It can be rotated vertically by up to 360° or installed in a horizontal position. In addition, the dispensing unit can be configured to dispense labels either to the left or right, making it extremely adaptable to different production lines.

User-friendliness and easy maintenance

The operator panel of the CAB Hermes Q2 is intuitive and easy to use as it offers self-explanatory icons to configure the device settings. Changing the transfer ribbons is made much easier by three-part clamping axles, which allow for fast and easy replacement.

Maintenance of the device is also uncomplicated. The print head can be exchanged at any width and changed in just a few simple steps. The print roller can be easily removed and installed for cleaning or replacement when worn.

Robust construction and precision

The Hermes Q2 is housed in a sturdy metal housing made of cast aluminum, on which all assemblies are mounted. Applicators are fastened to hinge pins and can be easily swung off when changing materials. The use of two pressure plungers, which can be positioned individually, ensures an optimum print image at all times.

The Hermes Q2 is equipped with a label photocell with transmitted light or reflective sensor to ensure the most accurate imprint and end of material detection. Thanks to the adjustable slip correction, the print offset can be reduced to ±0.2 mm for very small labels, which further increases accuracy.
