REA VeriCube

The REA VeriCube is a highly developed and modern matrix and barcode verification system that can be used flexibly and in a variety of ways across all industries. Thanks to its sophisticated design, it enables the measurement of almost any type of test sample, whether lying down, standing up or from top to bottom - everything is contact-free and in the optimum position. The contact-free code verification is carried out using an innovative CMOS camera system.

Several different types of lighting are available, including red or white light. This selection of lighting types makes it possible to verify different code types and surfaces under ideal conditions. Thanks to the interchangeable optical modules, the system can be optimally adjusted to codes of different sizes to ensure the best possible measurement accuracy at all times.

Optical codes are measured in the VeriCube in compliance with defined angles, distances and illuminations and in accordance with ISO standards (ISO/IEC 15415, ISO/IEC 15416). This ensures accurate and repeatable measurement results and quality assessments, which are essential for improving the read rates of the tested codes in your particular application.

• Barcode verification: The VeriCube verifies linear barcodes according to international standards such as ISO/IEC 15416, which ensure that barcodes are reliably readable under various conditions by evaluating criteria such as contrast, modulation and freedom from errors.

• Data Matrix code verification: In addition to linear barcodes, the VeriCube can also verify two-dimensional codes such as the Data Matrix code, QR code or Aztec code. Verification is carried out in accordance with ISO/IEC 15415 or ISO/IEC 29158 and test aspects include dimensional accuracy, contrast and reflection evaluations and code properties such as code size, bright fields, data structures, etc. The quality of the print results can thus be optimized and perfect and reliable readability/first-pass reading rates are ensured. The code types (or symbologies) are also specified by ISO/IEC standards. These standard specifications are part of the inspection.

• User specifications: Barcode and 2D matrix code testing always includes user specifications such as for the retail and pharmaceutical industries (GS1 General Specifications, GS1 Digital Link). Furthermore, in the automotive sector de VDA, ODETTE and AIAG requirements (VDA 5510, VDA 4994, Odette Global Transportlabel). Medical products UDI, military (MIL-STD-130N, Bundeswehr AIT) are further applications.
