REA ScanCheck 3

The REA ScanCheck 3 is a universal, battery-operated, high-performance capability barcode verification system that works in accordance with current standards. The measurements document compliance with quality targets. Perfect code quality ensures that codes are read with maximum efficiency and speed in logistics, retail, parts or inventory labeling.

The measuring principle is based on a laser scanner optimized for measurement. This enables contact-free measurement that is largely independent of handling influences. For mobile use on site, the device works autonomously with standard rechargeable batteries. The operating system and application software support multiple languages.

The device is equipped with a powerful 32-bit processor, a brilliant color graphic display and sound generator for fast creation and evaluation of inspections and their clear presentation. The measurement data can be stored internally in the flash memory. Parallel to the measurement, or afterwards, the test reports can be transferred to a standard PC for further processing using the REA TransWin 32 evaluation software, which is available as an option.

The REA ScanCheck 3 is a verification system that conforms to ISO/IEC 15426-1 (measurement accuracy and properties). It enables contact-free linear scanning using state-of-the-art laser technology. Code verification and evaluation are carried out in accordance with the ISO/IEC 15416 or ANSI X3.182 test specifications. The inspection can be extended with optionally configurable parameters in accordance with user specifications and symbology standards. A required minimum quality is set. The inspection result is only passed if the required minimum quality is achieved. Complete settings with all specifications can be saved in a profile. These profiles can be exchanged with each other via export/import. The REA ScanCheck 3 supports multiple measurements, in which an average value can be calculated from 2 to 10 individual measurements.

The device stands out due to its automatic differentiation of the most important barcode symbologies and enables the automatic checking of code sizes and check digits. It also verifies the bright fields on both sides of the code and performs a ratio check for two-bar width codes such as Code 39 or 2/5i. Furthermore, the REA ScanCheck 3 verifies the requirements of the GS1 General Specifications and evaluates the GS1 data structures.

Another highlight is the multilingual user interface and the option to create test reports in different languages. This makes the device both user-friendly and internationally applicable.
