Cutting and wood labeling in one machine

Wood marking offers numerous possibilities for controlling production as well as internal and external logistics. For example, parts can be more easily identified and assigned based on the printed order number and can therefore be processed faster. The application of machine-readable codes in turn promotes the automation of production and makes all processes transparent. Printing dimensions is also helpful, while marking with logos promotes branding. IPPC marking is part of the mandatory program.

Machines in the OptiCut series cut single boards, board packs, profiles or round bars from solid wood, as well as wood-based materials and plastics. In view of the increasing demand for wood marking, WEINIG Dimter and REA JET have steadily expanded their cooperation in recent years. There is now a tailor-made solution for almost every requirement. For example, the robust REA JET large character Inkjet Printer, which marks rough-sawn, planed or smooth surfaces clearly readable even in dusty environments, has been integrated several hundred times. It masters marking tasks even under difficult conditions and can even withstand vibrations and extreme temperature fluctuations. The print heads are available with 7, 16 or 32 nozzles and can apply characters up to 140 mm high. Several print heads can be combined for larger characters.

The REA JET industrial printers in the HR series are particularly suitable for high resolution wood marking, as they are easy to use and economical in terms of consumption. The reliable, maintenance-free system is based on HP cartridge technology, which has proven itself millions of times over. This ensures fast, clean replacement of the ink cartridges and consistently precise results. The excellent readability of the marking also enables 2D Codes to be applied for production traceability.

WEINIG recognized the added value of integrating the most capable coding and marking systems on the market at an early stage and therefore offers its customers turnkey solutions from a single source. The traditional company Holz Weißmann in Kammeltal-Behlingen has been using a WEINIG OptiCut machine for longitudinal cutting for eight years now, and for the last three years it has been equipped with a state-of-the-art REA JET HR printing system. It marks pallet skids with the IPPC reference and the customer's article number.
