Inkjet coding and marking solutions for logistics processes
Whether shipping spare parts to international business partners or express delivery of online orders: Efficient and automated delivery processes require clear logistics labels. Our inkjet coding and marking systems ensure economical and clearly readable coding.
Direct marking as a label replacement
ECONOMICAL MARKING IN THE LOGISTICS INDUSTRY
Direct marking of cardboard boxes is a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to transport and logistics labels in logistics. For example, the SSCC/NVE code (Serial Shipping Container Code or shipping unit number) can also be printed directly onto shipping boxes and parcels in logistics centers instead of using labels. Other variable data such as shipping or packaging time as well as static information such as logos can also be printed directly without the space being limited by the label size. High-resolution inkjet printing systems with fast-drying, high-contrast inks are usually used for direct printing on cardboard packaging. These ensure optimum readability of the shipping information as barcodes and in plain text.
What are the requirements for inkjet coding and marking solutions?
- Compliance with the requirements of industry, retail and transport service providers
- Good readability and durability even under harsh transport conditions
- Fast application in automated logistics centers
- Generation of machine-readable codes
- Error-free serialization
- Seamless integration of the systems into the production lines
Industrial inkjet coding and marking solutions are used throughout the logistics industry. They are used to mark shipping units of various sizes. They support the automation and optimization of intralogistics and transport logistics processes in all sectors.
Application examples for marking in the logistics industry
- Direct marking of cardboard boxes with inkjet systems
- Printing with transport and shipping codes as a label replacement
- Large print on cardboard boxes with barcodes, logos and texts
- Marking of secondary packaging in throughfeed from above and from the side
See for yourself the wide range of marking and labeling applications in the logistics industry. Our innovative inkjet marking solutions contribute to the automation and optimization of logistics and shipping processes.
The SSCC is an 18-digit identification number for transport units that is only assigned once worldwide. This allows shipping cartons, pallets and containers, for example, to be tracked internationally from the sender to the recipient. In Germany, the SSCC is also called NVE (shipping unit number). The SSCC is a mandatory element on every GS1 transport label.
