VERIFY CODE QUALITY ON VEHICLE PARTS

The correct marking and coding of vehicle components is required in order to be able to trace the individual components back to their production location, production batch and raw materials if necessary. The requirements of the VDA in accordance with the basic specifications VDA 5005 and VDA 5510 must be adhered to. To ensure that the transport chain also functions smoothly, there are also defined labeling requirements in the automotive industry, such as the basic specification VDA 5010 and the specifications of the Global Transport Label of the ODETTE association. Whether the content of the markings is correct and perfectly readable has to be verified during the production process. This code verification is carried out using especially test systems and verifiers. This ensures that vehicle components leaving a plant reliably fulfill all marking requirements.
