Mühltal, 14. May 2024 - The industry needs correct, permanent and legible markings. At ACHEMA 2024, the full-range supplier will be presenting its REA JET product lines - including newly developed marking inks - REA LABEL and REA VERIFIER.
Whether UDI for medical devices or product numbers such as the GTIN, NTIN and PPN - when companies in the pharmaceutical, chemical or medical device industry mark their goods or their primary, secondary or tertiary packaging, they have to be able to rely on the technologies used. The systems have to fit reliably into the production process, the markings have to comply with standards, contain all the necessary information, adhere permanently to the respective substrate and also remain clearly readable for as long as they are needed.

The new UP printer with patented inks: from oil-based to light-curing
Visitors to ACHEMA 2024 will see the REA JET UP for the first time at this trade show. UP stands for Universal Print - the all-rounder prints contact-free on a wide variety of surfaces at three times the speed of other systems. Its patented, fast-drying inks range from oil and light solvent-based to light-curing and have been developed for high-resolution direct printing on a versatile range of substrates - from absorbent materials such as paper to finished surfaces.
A will also be presenting the REA JET HR 2.0 inkjet technology to visitors at ACHEMA 2024. In combination with the REA JET CL laser, folding boxes are marked or labeled efficiently, fast, reliably and in the highest quality. While the inkjet printer applies the content with REA JET's standard and special inks, the CO2 laser marks by removing the ink from a dark printed surface in such a way that a code and plain text become legible.
The print & apply systems from REA LABEL also stand for individual solutions for implementing industrial marking tasks with labels. On display at ACHEMA 2024: the REA LABEL ColorJet 2 color label printer - a cost-effective and practical alternative to external printshops. Using high-quality 1:1 full-color printing, it produces individual labels or small to medium-sized series in the highest resolution of up to 1,200 dpi and with a print width of up to 21 centimetres.
Verifying code quality is a must, especially for the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. The code verification systems from REA VERIFIER verify the correct structure of 1D barcodes and 2D matrix codes and their optimum readability inline and offline in versatile situations.
