4. Data protection information for online meetings, telephone conferences and webinars via "Zoom"
We would like to inform you below about the processing of personal data in connection with the use of "Zoom".
4.1 Purpose of the processing
We use the "Zoom" tool to conduct telephone conferences, online meetings, video conferences, initial interviews for the selection of applicants and/or webinars (hereinafter: "online meetings"). "Zoom" is a service provided by Zoom Video Communications, Inc. based in the USA.
4.2 Controller
REA Elektronik GmbH is responsible for data processing that is directly related to the conduct of "online meetings".
Note: If you access the "Zoom" website, the provider of "Zoom" is responsible for data processing. However, it is only necessary to access the website to use "Zoom" in order to download the software for using "Zoom".
You can also use "Zoom" if you enter the relevant meeting ID and any other access data for the meeting directly in the "Zoom" app.
If you do not want to or cannot use the "Zoom" app, the basic functions can also be used via a browser version, which you can also find on the "Zoom" website.
4.4 Scope of the processing
We use Zoom to conduct online meetings and webinars/trainings.
If you are registered with "Zoom" as a user, reports on "online meetings" (meeting metadata, telephone dial-in data, questions and answers in webinars, survey function in webinars) can be stored for up to one month at "Zoom".
Webinars and training courses can be recorded. In the case of training courses, you will be informed verbally in advance and your consent will be obtained by Zoom. Your contributions in image and sound will then be included in the recording. If you do not give your consent, your session will be ended immediately.
If you take part in a webinar, your access is technically pre-set so that you cannot appear in the video or audio. Your contributions in the "Question & Answer" area are recorded, but contributions in the chat history are not.
Automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR is not used.
4.5 Legal basis for data processing
Insofar as personal data of applicants is processed, the legal basis for data processing is the consent given by the data subject. Consent can be withdrawn at any time and should be sent to datenschutzinfo(at)rea.de
Insofar as personal data of employees of REA Elektronik GmbH are processed, § 26 BDSG is the legal basis for data processing. If, in connection with the use of "Zoom", personal data is not required for the establishment, implementation or termination of the employment relationship, but is nevertheless an elementary component of the use of "Zoom", Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR is the legal basis for data processing. In these cases, our interest lies in the effective conduct of "online meetings".
Otherwise, the legal basis for data processing when conducting "online meetings" is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR, insofar as the meetings are conducted within the framework of contractual relationships.
If there is no contractual relationship, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Here too, we have an interest in the effective conduct of "online meetings".
4.6 Recipients / disclosure of data
Personal data that is processed in connection with participation in "online meetings" will not be passed on to third parties unless it is intended to be passed on. Please note that content from "online meetings" as well as face-to-face meetings is often used to communicate information with customers, interested parties or third parties and is therefore intended to be passed on.
Other recipients: The provider of "Zoom" necessarily receives knowledge of the above-mentioned data, insofar as this is provided for in our order processing contract with "Zoom".
4.7 Data processing outside the European Union and the associated restriction of data subject rights
"Zoom" is a service provided by a provider from the USA. Personal data is therefore also processed in a third country. We have concluded an order processing contract with the provider of "Zoom" that meets the requirements of Art. 28 GDPR.
We would like to point out that your rights as a data subject under section 6 of this privacy policy may be restricted when using Zoom. The legal situation in the USA enables the US authorities to gain access to the data of a data processor at any time and to demand its surrender if there is a legitimate interest.
5. Data transfer to third countries
Personal data may be forwarded to international subsidiaries and sales partners as part of a contact request.
6. Standard periods for the deletion of data
The legislator has issued versatile retention periods and obligations. After these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted. If data is not affected by this, it will be deleted or anonymized if the purposes stated in this privacy policy no longer apply. Unless this privacy policy contains other, deviating provisions regarding the storage of data, the data collected by us will be stored by us for as long as it is required for the aforementioned purposes for which it was collected.
Further processing or use of your personal data will generally only take place if this is permitted by law or if you have consented to the data processing or use. In the event of further processing for purposes other than those for which the data was originally collected, we will inform you of these other purposes prior to further processing and provide you with any further relevant information.
7. Rights of data subjects
Right to information
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a right to free information about your stored data and, if applicable, a right to rectification, blocking or erasure of this data. For this purpose and/or to obtain further information about this, please contact our data protection officer at TÃœV SÃœD Akademie GmbH at datenschutzinfo(at)rea.de

You have the right to obtain from us without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you (Art. 16 GDPR). To do so, please use the contact addresses given above.
Right to erasure
You have the right to immediate erasure ("right to be forgotten") of the personal data concerning you if the legal grounds pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR apply. These exist, for example, if the personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were originally processed or if you have withdrawn your consent and there is no other legal basis for the processing; the data subject objects to the processing (and there are no overriding reasons for processing - this does not apply to objections to direct marketing). To exercise your above right, please contact us at the addresses given above.
Right to restriction of processing
You have a right to restriction of processing if the conditions are met and in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR. According to this, the restriction of processing may be necessary in particular if the processing is unlawful and the data subject refuses to delete the personal data and instead requests the restriction of the use of the personal data or the data subject has objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, as long as it is not yet clear whether our legitimate reasons outweigh theirs. To assert your aforementioned right, please contact us at the contact addresses given above.
Right to data portability
You have a right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR. You have the right to receive the data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a commonly used, structured and machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another controller, such as another service provider. The prerequisite for this is that the processing is based on consent or on a contract and is carried out using automated procedures. To exercise your above right, please contact us at the contact addresses given above.
Right to object
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based, inter alia, on point (e) or (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR pursuant to Article 21 GDPR. We will stop processing your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. To assert your aforementioned right, please contact us at the addresses given below.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
If you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you by us is unlawful, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for us, which you can contact as follows:
The Hessian Data Protection Officer
P.O. Box 31 63
65021 Wiesbaden
