Marking expert REA presents innovative product portfolio for the automotive industry

Mühltal, September 17, 2024 - For the first time, REA will also be present at the 12th Internationalen Zuliefererbörse (IZB) in Wolfsburg, where suppliers to the automotive industry from more than 30 nations will be exhibiting. The global specialist for marking, labeling and code verification will be showcasing its high-performance portfolio for reliable marking and verification. One highlight: the permanent marking of tubes made from the synthetic rubber EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer).

Razor-sharp images in bright colors on dark, non-absorbent surfaces such as rubber or plastic - this is made possible by an innovation from REA Elektronik. Using the colored inks developed by REA experts, the REA JET coding and marking systems apply colored alphanumeric texts, logos, lines or other motifs in a contact-free, permanent and high resolution manner. A modern, effective and, above all, clean alternative to static systems, as a new printing unit is available with every new cartridge.

Digital data provision for fast product changes and individual marking
For the automotive and tire industry, the application for reliable inline marking of elastomer and rubber products such as seals, mats and tires should be of interest - as well as EPDM tubes, as REA will be demonstrating at the IZB. Digital data provision allows for fast product changes as well as individual and serialized marking of products with variable information in the best print quality. With their innovative pigmentation, the inks exploit the advantages of REA JET Systems for marking dark substrates. Depending on the motif, up to four print heads can be combined for multi-colored logos and markings and markings up to 50.8 millimeters high can be applied.

REA will also be showcasing its innovative and versatile full range of coding and marking products for the requirements and typical manufacturing environments of the automotive supplier industry at the IZB. The state-of-the-art and robust ink and laser systems of the REA JET product line for contact-free direct marking and labeling systems of the REA LABEL product line enable the flexible and reliable implementation of customer specifications, automated production and traceability of all components. The latest generation of code verification systems in the REA VERIFIER product line ensure high code quality, take into account all industry-relevant regulations (ISO/IEC 29158 verification, Automotive VDA 5510, Inventory IEC 61406-1) and are also already set up to verify the specifications of the digital product passport.
