Automated matching of merchandise and shipping box
New video from REA Elektronik shows "Codings and Markings in Logistics"
Muehltal, November 15, 2021 - The automatic carton erector assembles cartons of various dimensions and sizes and sends them on their way: In the seemingly confusing conveyor system of roller rails, each carton finds the right path - and certainly exactly the place in the picking area where the order merged from the warehouse is waiting for it.
On average, 50,000 packages ready for shipment leave the Conrad Electronic SE logistics center. At peak times, there are 75,000 cartons packed for business partners and end customers in Germany, Europe and around the world - each one with an individual selection from the 6 million available products. You can see it all in the latest video of the "Marking Professionals" from REA Elektronik, which is online as of today.
To ensure that every order reaches the customer in full, "you need a really sophisticated system," says Marking Professional Frank Debusmann (Sales Director national Coding and Marking Systems). Together with his partner Daniel Wege (Business Development Manager), he lets Armin Tischler, Director Supply Chain at Conrad Electronic, show him the path from the order to the package ready for shipment. And he also explains what role the REA JET GK 2.0 plays in "marrying" the matching carton to each individual order, how exactly the cartons find their way, and why Conrad Electronic no longer wants to do without the REA JET Coding and Marking System with the high resolution inkjet printer.
The possible uses of industrial coding and marking systems in a wide variety of industries and applications are almost innumerable. That's why the professionals from REA Elektronik are still on the road, looking for interesting examples for their video series "REA Marking Professionals on Site". The next one will go online on the REA website on December 15.
